Natural Elm Altar Table h150 actually dates from China's MingShanxi, circa 1860 This lovely, long display table would make a wonderful, statement console today in a hallway, living or dining room. It is made from elm wood, with the top extended surface made using a single elm plank. The table would originally have been used as an altar table in China's Shanxi province, with offerings to ancestors placed on the surface. The original finish has been stripped back to reveal the pale, natural colour of the wood
